Our client is looking for a Production Planning Manager where the main purpose of the role will be:

·         To plan production workload to deliver maximum customer service from company supply chain.

·         To support the drive for a process thinking culture which is performance based and looking for continuous improvement at all levels.

·         To facilitate cross functional coordination between sales/marketing, supply chain and engineering.

 

Key Duties and Responsibilities

·         To translate Master Production Schedules into Finite Capacity Plans, recognising the limits of production capacity, the needs of engineering and the requirements from R&D.

·         To be accountable for developing and setting policies (SOP’s) for planning rules, planning data accuracy measurement and reporting.

·         Be accountable for establishing policies (SOP’s) and procedures for updating database components in ERP and Planning systems.

·         Accountability to facilitate the generation of monthly work plans and sign off with operational units.

·         To monitor productivity performance and maintain metrics to demonstrate; lead time, schedule performance and capacity utilisation.

·         To help ensure all operational key performance indicators are consistently delivered in such a way as to maximise the value across the organisation.

·         To understand business strategy and contribute to the execution in everyday business plans.

·         To establish SOP’s to maintain operational Bills of materials and Routings - key to drive business performance and productivity.

·         To be accountable for performance to plan KPI’s.

·         To help the company develop a culture which embraces change and promotes the right behaviours at all levels throughout the organisation.

·         Build and maintain strong working relationships with staff at all levels in the organization

·         Participate in business development initiatives.

·         Produce and present performance reports.

·         Contribute and lead management meetings and reviews as necessary

  Any other duties as may be required by the Supply Chain Director
