Our client has a vacancy in Microbiology for a Deputy Microbiology Manager working on the night shift Sunday night - Thursday night (5 nights), 10pm - 6am.

Working as the Deputy Microbiology Manager your role will be to co-ordinate the microbiological support activities during our clients night shift. Duties will include overseeing and participating in environmental monitoring of aseptic filling, water testing, microbial identification and data analysis reporting. In addition the role requires investigating adverse microbiological results, assisting the Microbiology Laboratory Manager and th Microbiologist in laboratory operations, and direct supervision of the night shift Microbiology Technicians. The Deputy Microbiology Manager will be expected to participate in improving the quality systems within the laboratory and to assist in providing QA support across the site.

You will be literate, numerate and articulate and hold a degree in Microbiology or a Bioscience based discipline with experience in a pharmaceutical of healthcare microbiology laboratory environment. Experience of laboratory supervision, staff training, an understanding of GMP/GCLP and knowledge of a range of microbiological techniques is essential.

Successful candidates will be notified as soon as possible, but may not transfer to their new position for several weeks depending on operational requirements.
